Laselle Snow King was born in 1979 sired by CH Cousin Charlie of Hollyfir x Brobar Silver Belle , litter brother to CC winning Laselle Mill Reef a well marked red brindle dog. After the death of our Airdale bitch we decided to buy another Bull terrier. We found one aged 18months old, Laselle Florrety sired by CH Catrana Eye Opener of Aricon, a lovely brindle bitch that had been returned to the breeder.

In 1986 she produced a beautiful litter of white and coloured puppies to Edbury Resplendant General (Andy) owned by Colin and Edbury Sainsbury. out of this litter we kept a white dog Pirate General (Joe).

We had some success in the show ring with Joey his first outing was at the Centenary Show at White Waltham in 1987 unfortunately he developed heamatomas in his ears which cut short his show career

Owing to business committments we took a short break from breeding and showing . In 1995 we purchased Samsons Red Patch at Ishaba, litter brother to Regents Trophy Winner CH Laura Belle at Ishaba and Jamie Bright Star at Ishaba.Samsons Red Patch (George) was handled by Mr Geoff Backhouse.

In 1996 we purchased Saracen Queen (Minnie)

Minnie is a solid brindle bull terrier.

We had never seen a brindle dog before who's tone of colour was so rich .

Solid coloured dogs are considered to be invaluable to a coloured breeding kennel yet are frowned upon by many in the show ring.

What a pity.

It is often the case today that a judge will put up a poorly marked dog/bitch over a better quality rich solid brindle.

The Romany Kennels with a careful thought out breeding programme, strove to produce rich coloured well marked animals(Irish spotting) high standards in colouring must never be compromised It became my goal to try to produce animals in the true Romany style.

How hard could it be , I was soon to find out.

This litter was born in 1998 Minnie proved to be a good Mum,from this litter we kept (Norah) Borsalino Drakes Judith a well marked brindle. Two of the litter were sold as pets because of the what I considered at the time severe mismarks on their jackets.

From Norah's first litter of three to Credetta Below Zero we kept Borsalino Teyegra (Dottie).

Dottie did well in the show ring gaining Best Opposite Sex at Leeds Championship Show under Mr P Dooner, no CC's yet

We then put Drakes Judith to Bullywood Blazing Star she duly produced her three puppies. This litter contained Borsalino Red Admiral and Int Am & Mex CH Borsalino Black Hawk both well marked coloureds. A second litter to Blazing Star produced another three puppies one of which is Borsalino Black Star of Meilow 2005's Best Puppy at the Manchester Championship Show

Borsalino Teyegra produced her first litter to CH. Emred Devil's Chance A litter of white and coloureds all well marked,with great pigmentation, out of this litter we kept our White Bitch Borsalino Devil's Daughter..( Tess )

Tess's first litter was born in August 2004,Out of this litter we kept Borsalino Silver Chalice ( see show page.)

Her second in February 2006.Out of this litter we have Borsalino King of Spades (see show page) Who is now part of the BT/Mini BT Interbreeding programme

BORSALINO KING of SPADES Our young stud dog was out of Borsalino Devil's Daughters litter to NOR CH Emred Jack Daniels.of Astasia, he has produced an interbred litter of Mini BT's a Puppy Dog from that litter, Granopers Carbon Neutral has just gained his first CC & BOB at Crufts
